Faroe Islands Research Work
This book is a reflection of my experience during a solo travel-research trip to the Faroe Islands. It was produced over the course of six months, after returning home and processing my extensive notes, drawings, artifacts, and photographs.
The aim in producing this book is to illustrate the potential of ethnography in other fields, particularly travel research in art, architecture, and design. In doing my research, travelling to location, and making sense of everything, I found there were few resources for doing such work. In this intimate book, I shed light on the complexities and sense of adventure in undertaking travel-based research work.
The work for this book was made possible by the Rossetti Scholarship at Dalhousie University. The concept design reflects printed dimensions of 7" x 7".
